Changes to Use Overdrive

To utilize electronic media, Piedmont Public Library, as well as most other Oklahoma small libraries, uses a reading app called  Overdrive.
Recently, Overdrive made changes to their system, requiring patrons to update the app, then re-enter their user names and passwords.
All Piedmont Public Library cards are issued with the letter P in front of the card number, and before, Overdrive did not require inputting the P in order to log in.
Now they do.
The library has received calls from patrons having difficulty logging into their accounts, even having to go so far as unload and reload the Overdrive app. Though I hope that’s not the case in every instance, rest assured that your checked out items will still be in place once you re-enter your user information into the application.
In short, please type P before entering your card number.
