June 9: Summer Reading 2020 Begins!
Each Tuesday between June 9 and July 14, the library will be open from 11-3 to give summer readers a bag of weekly challenges and activities. Also within each weekly kit is a set of 5 challenges, awarded with buttons included within the sack. Parents, please award them to your children after they have completed the assigned task.
In addition to the fun activities, kids will be given online codes to watch videos of local performers, including acrobats, shadow puppeteers, hula hoopsters, and all kinds of talented individuals unable to meet with us in person but eager to share their abilities with kids.
As always, find your reading log inside! For every day that you read 20 minutes, place a sticker on your log, and at the end of 5 (preferably 7) days of reading, award yourself the reading button. Pin them onto your bag from last year; collect them all!
We may not all be together, but we hope to make this summer fun and interesting. Thank you for your continued support of your local Piedmont Public Library.
